Prevention with grapefruit

The common theory is if you're sick, eat an orange or other citrus fruit high in vitamin C. Great advice. But why wait until you're sick to eat it? Grapefruit is high in Vitamin A,B9, and C. All of are very important for the immune system. Vitamin C strengthens the immune system. Vitamin A helps the production of lymphocytes. Lymphocytes produce B and T cells. Which are needed to fight off cancer causing diseases. If you are low in these vitamins, you weaken your bodies natural ability to fight off infections.
I would strongly suggest not buying these in supplemental tablets. Supplemental tablets are not a food source. Grapefruit is food and your body will absorb the nutrients much quicker and better. Supplements are not natural and may not have the same effect that a grapefruit will have.
Also, lots of studies have shown that eating water has a more gradual release of water into the body compared to drinking a glass. Which can result in being hydrated longer.
