We've all seen the pose. Downward-facing Dog. But why do we do it?
There is a plethora of reasons to do.
It is literally a full body stretch. Stretches the hamstrings, calves, ankles , shoulders, back, and spine.
It strengthens your arms, shoulders, core, and legs.
It opens the chest and shoulders
It increases bone density. As a weight-bearing exercise, it will increase muscle and bone strength.
Increases circulation.
Stimulates your organs.
Reduces stress. Enhances mood, and improves focus.
