Our emotions

Being mindful of how we think plays a crucial role in our mental health. Life brings us challenges everyday. But to be fair, there are a lot of beautiful days too. Focus on the good. Be positive.

I remember having days where I drove home from work with a heavy heart and the tiniest of inconveniences would set me off. There were days I drove home in tears because someone cut me off or there was traffic. I remember once when I was complaining about the traffic, my son told me don't get mad. Instead put on the radio. Enjoy the song. Look around. Look at the nice mountains and appreciate and pray for the people in the car next to you.

I started doing this. I started taking control of my thoughts and emotions.

Heavy hearts are common. But don't let it be permanent. It's for a season and a season only. God wants you to be happy and to cast your cares on Him. Pray daily and watch your mood change.
